Ideal for layering, whether combined with a shirt over a turtleneck or worn alone, this piece is an essential item and the perfect transitional garment. The slipover is knitted from the top down, allowing for easy adjustments. The seed stitch edges around the armholes and V-neck are worked concurrently with the main stocking stitch fabric.
The SORBET slipover is worked top-down. The seed stitch edges around the armholes and the V-neck are worked at the same time as the main stocking stitch fabric.
You begin at the top back and work back and forth to the bottom of the armholes. Working from stitches from the open cast-on at the top back, you work first the right, then the left front piece back and forth to the bottom armholes. You then join back and front by inserting the rib pieces at the armholes and working across all stitches.
Finally, when reaching the bottom of the V-neck, you join all parts for working in the round from there, ending with the double knit bottom border in a contrast colour.
